Product Description

The Centurion Photon SMART is a fully wireless infrared safety beam (photocell) system designed to add an essential layer of safety to automated gates and garage doors. Both the transmitter and receiver units are completely battery-powered, requiring no wiring, cable-tunnelling, or digging under the driveway — making installation fast, clean, and low-cost. Photon SMART connects wirelessly to Centurion's SMART controllers, giving automated gate and garage door systems intelligent obstacle detection alongside a sleek, unobtrusive finish.

How It Works

The beams operate by detecting when an infrared beam between the transmitter and receiver is interrupted by a person, vehicle, pet, or object, then wirelessly notify the connected gate motor or garage door controller of the interruption.

• Used as a closing beam, they help prevent injury or property damage from crushing.
• Used as an opening beam, they dramatically reduce hazards associated with an opening gate, such as dragging or shearing.

• Insect ingress protection and a durable, weather-resistant IP54 enclosure protect internal components for long-term reliability.
• Slimline, elegant construction (only around 50mm wide) that blends unobtrusively into any property's aesthetic.
• PIRAC (Beam Autoclose) Mode compatibility — automatically closes the gate as soon as the beams detect that the user has cleared the entrance, adding convenience and extra security.
• Ambush/intruder-detection alarm compatibility — on supported systems, the beams can double as perimeter security devices, triggering an alarm if obstructed for a set period of time.
• Quick, seamless pairing with Centurion SMART controllers via the MyCentsys Pro app, with on-screen (in-app) status showing whether the beams are clear or obstructed.
